About twenty Hardlines subscribers gathered in the colorful Quark's Bar &
Grill at the Hilton, consuming interesting drinks and swapping stories.
Unfortunately I neglected to bring along my camera, but luckily Tom Hanson
snapped a few shots for posterity.

Las Vegas....the final frontier. Also the site of the Fall 2003
TruServ market and yet another gathering of Hardlines subscribers.
Between the Trekkies, the Klingons, the Borg, and the Ferrengi it was tough
to tell the hardliners from the rest of the riff raff. Here, John Fix
shows his solidarity with a member of the borg collective after he
encouraged us to "assimilate your fermented beverage products". |
| Tensions rose when we were approached by a hostile Klingon who
interrupted our consumption of fermented beverages. Paul Poirier (on
the left) went head to head with the Klingon and drove him back to the
smoking section. Even the Klingons have heard of this famous galactic
"rabble rouser". |

Later in the evening (and after several Romulan ales), the warring
factions settled their differences and stood shoulder to shoulder.
